Market rules

The rules every position on PolyPray follows — from placement to settlement.

Eligibility

  • You must be logged in to place, cancel, or view personal positions.
  • Real-money positions require an allowed-region IP and sufficient virtualBalance.
  • Free-play positions debit freePlayBalance and are available in all regions.
  • Restricted regions (US, GB, DE, FR) cannot deposit, withdraw, or place real-money bets.

Placement

  • Positions may only be placed while the fixture is SCHEDULED.
  • Minimum stake: $0.01 USD equivalent (or 0.01 pts in free play).
  • Platform markets use HOME / DRAW / AWAY (1X2) or YES / NO (binary). Creator markets are YES / NO.
  • All positions lock immediately as MATCHED — funds stay escrowed until settlement.
  • PC and USD tracks are separate pools; stakes debit the track matching your region mode.
  • When two or more outcomes have volume, the market is marked contested.

Cancellation

  • Open positions may be cancelled before kickoff while the fixture is SCHEDULED.
  • Cancellation is blocked once the fixture enters LIVE or FINISHED status.
  • Cancelled positions receive a 100% refund with no fees.
  • Settled markets cannot be cancelled.

Creator markets (USER_NESTED)

  • Available to logged-in users in all regions.
  • Markets can only be created while the fixture is SCHEDULED.
  • Allowed regions must seed with a minimum $10 USD stake on one outcome.
  • Restricted regions use free-play points; no seed stake required.
  • Creators earn a royalty (default 20% of the platform fee) on user-invented nested markets when contested.

Settlement

  • Markets settle after close using weighted proportional P2P math per track (PC and USD separately).
  • Platform 1X2 markets auto-settle when the parent fixture is marked FINISHED.
  • Uncontested markets: all positions refunded 100%, no fees.
  • Contested USD markets: platform fee (default 5%) on the active winning pool; PC track has no fee.
  • Creator royalty: configurable % of the platform fee credits nested market creators. Platform-owned admin markets pay no royalty.
  • Cancelled fixtures: all positions refunded 100%.
